Hi lovelies. Today I am delighted to share some news with you. I have recently joined the Black and Married With Kids family as an editor. I am honored that Ronnie and Lamar saw something in me and are giving me this chance to work for them. I am also humbled as this was a position sought after by many talented writers and editors. I believe in favor and am so excited for the growing that will come out of this opportunity.
I know as some of you read this you are baffled at how this happened. As I share more on my leap of faith in the coming weeks (and no, I didn’t get hired prior to my resignation) I will share what prompted me to apply for a position that I initially struggled to apply for after battling with thoughts of not being “good enough.”
For now I wanted to share where my leap has taken me and thank you for your support and prayers. I’d love for you to visit me there and if you ever happen to read my words and notice something I didn’t catch instead of laughing or shaking your head send me an email! Help me be the best I can be and remember that everyone starts somewhere — the key is to get started!

I read a few of your posts and I feel like I know you. :-) Congrats on the big leap of faith and on the editor position at BMWK. I am so glad we are a part of that team together. I recently had a daughter as well. She was born on October 23rd. I am hoping that, like you, I can take that leap and leave the full-time job by the end of this year. Wish me luck. I love how my little one is interacting with me these days but I miss my wrinkly newborn sometimes too :) I will be praying for you and sending good thoughts your way.
