{Hers} My Hero

20120501-111158.jpg

This little (although not according to her) girl is my hero. Her presence coupled with the grace of God saved me. I was on a path to self destruction and along she came and suddenly things started to make perfect sense. Life started to make perfect sense and while it didn’t necessarily get easier it got better when she arrived. And over the past few years the two of us have shared many adventures and conquered our share of fears. We’ve both grown so much as individuals and at the same time we’ve also grown closer and closer together.

She reminds me to laugh, to smile and to get silly. She challenges me and she’s an excellent button pusher – one of her many super powers. She encourages me to be a better person for her and for me. She does so much without even realizing it.

She’s brave, strong and awfully cute.

She’s my hero and like I said she saved me – from myself. And sure that’s a lot of credit to give to a little person but God used her and continues to use her in the most magnificent ways.

Every superhero ought to have a sidekick-no? And for as long as she’ll have me I’ll be hers…

May I be as much of a blessing to my little superhero as she is to me.

This is so incredibly sweet! I like the picture of how much you love her.

I like that you were honest and said that when she came it didn’t get easier.
    Better? Yes.
    Easier? No.
