Happy Weekend + Our first ever Giveaway!

When Megan contacted me about doing a review for Easy Canvas Prints I kind of had that feeling when you are out in the store where it looks like someone is talking to you so you answer him or her only to realize that they aren’t talking to you. They are talking to the person behind you. Or the wave–ever wave to someone only to discover that they weren’t waving at you? Well lucky for me Megan was waving at me. In exchange for this review I was offered the chance to receive a free canvas from Easy Canvas Prints. Being that it was going to be my very first review ever I was even more excited to do it.

The entire ordering process was so simple and straightforward. For me the hardest part was formatting my picture. I had wanted it to be more of a portrait but on my own couldn’t figure out how to do it and when I uploaded a cropped photo it wasn’t I couldn’t size it so that our entire bodies showed. After realizing that it just wasn’t meant to be I settled on having the print be landscaped, no need to struggle. I had picked one of my favorite photos from our wedding and absolutely loved the idea of having it in the form of a canvas.

What do you think? Everything was essentially done in four steps. I selected the size (which in this case was the complimentary 8×10 size), uploaded a photo (there is even an option to upload from your Facebook account), picked my border and was given the option to add image and color effects. The checkout process was simple and quick and in no time I received an order confirmation in my inbox. If I could go back I think I would have paid to offset the cost of a larger print as opposed to getting the free smaller sized photo. The canvases come in several sizes going upward to 30×40 and there are several customizing options. Although lovely (it really did turn out beautifully), the one we have is small. A larger sized version of our lovely family photo would look perfect in our home but either way I’m not complaining and good things come in small packages too! The actual canvas appeared to be good quality and I love the slightly bumpy texture of the actual print very different from the smooth look of a regular photo. The photo was very clear and similar to the original photo I uploaded. I was also pleased with the packaging that ensured that my canvas was able to withstand the shipping process.

Just a week from today the holiday shopping frenzy will begin. An Easy Canvas Prints would make a wonderful holiday gift and if you aren’t into the holidays (Ba humbug!) they are still a great investment to give or to keep for yourself. Plus no long lines or circling the parking lot looking for a space. What I like most about them is that you could essentially turn anything into art which means you aren’t limited to family photos. Photos of nature, animals, quotes, even your child’s artwork can become something worthy of hanging in a gallery! I can imagine how much my mother would love getting a limited edition canvas of her granddaughter’s art work!

Ok so here’s where it gets exciting! Thanks to Easy Canvas Prints {<----- Click the link to go directly to their website} the Mr., the Little Miss and I are giving away $40 worth of Easy Canvas Prints gift cards! Yes no need to go back and re-read $40! But wait it gets better trust me. Like Easy Canvas Prints on Facebook and receive 50% off your next order! And if that’s not enough, the Little Miss has offered to create one of her masterpieces for our winner just in case deciding on a photo or piece of art is far too challenging :)
So now’s your chance my lovelies and handsomes. Just leave us a comment telling us about the photo or image you would use for an Easy Canvas Print. The giveaway begins today November 18, 2011. One entry per person per day! A winner will be selected at random on Friday November 25, 2011 a.k.a. Black Friday which could mean one less person you have to shop for should you decide to give the gift of Easy Canvas Print this season.

Happy Weekend! xo.

Krishann, you are hilarious, LOL at the part where you talked about that awkward moment when you think someone is talking/waving to you only to find it wasn’t meant for you but for the person behind you. I love canvas paintings and wish I was talented enough to produce a wonderful peice of art! I loved your selection. I would pick our family picture of the four of us! After all we are the Fantastic Forrester’s! That has love all over it!
