How delighted was I to learn a few years back that the imagination gene was a dominant one passed down from my mother to me to my daughter. Although she has yet to make a mud pie (something my mother and I both loved to do as little girls) my Little Miss loves make-believe and making things and will pretend for hours if given the opportunity. She will create her own games and activities and invite us to join her and while after a long day at work I am not always up for starting a restaurant, hosting a fashion show or conducting a science experiment I do love watching her mind at work and listening to the sounds of her giggles as she plays and creates into the night. She also happens to be a great inventor. If she wants to play with something and we don’t have it she’ll find a way to make it. Her most recent invention – “a bag flying” also known as a kite. Who knew that you could tie a piece of gift wrap string to a grocery bag and create a kite bag flying? Well the Little Miss did. Here’s the logic behind her latest invention:
“I call it a bag flying. I wanted a kite so I took a bag and I put a string on it because the first one I made was out of paper and it flew in the sky. I had made it out of paper and I taped it to the string so it flew away.”
Here are some photos of the Little Miss taking her bag for a test flight. No wind needed but a running start helps!

{Yee haw!}

{It’s working}

{It’s a bag. Flying.}

{And yes. It’s that fun. }
What was your (or your little one’s) latest invention? Do you still use your imagination? Do you encourage your children to use their’s?
Now if you would excuse me while I go help the Little miss out of her swimming pool bathtub. Good night lovelies.

I just love seeing children at play. It is with great wonderment that I watch them as they
become familiar with the world into which they were born. Seeing their little eyes light up, their eyebrows raised and a smile coming across their faces when they discover something new. I love to see little ones playing with something, trying to figure out how it works, and the expression on their faces when they finally figure it out..
I think you guys are doing a great job with your marriage. I love Jaylayla, I love Chris, I love Krishann. If I spelled any names incorrectly, please forgive me. I am getting a little forgetful these days. lol
I love that too…one of life’s sweetest joys and God’s most precious gifts. Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers. We are very grateful to be surrounded by such love. Truly.
