{Hers} Pinterest Challenge

Tuesday evening the Little Miss spent some time expanding her art collection by painting the most beautiful water colors paintings.  Each time she finished painting a picture she would bring it to me and ask  me if I was going to hang it up.  In our house we don’t put our masterpieces on the fridge because it’s stainless steel and magnets don’t stick to it(not sure if this is the case with stainless steel across the board or jus in our house).  While we have a family photo she drew of us on display in our entry way much of her work is scattered throughout the house, some of it in piles waiting for me to put them on display some packed away in boxes because I can’t fathom the thought of throwing one away, and others propped against my jewelry box (pretending to be on display).  Several years ago I remember Nate Berkus framing a clients child’s art, I want to say it was Oprah, before his show.  He encouraged showcasing the beautiful pieces of work that children often created.  I loved that idea and knew it was something that I one day want incorporate in my own home.

This week Emily, Lana, Sherry and Katie issued a Pinterest challenge.  After spending the day questioning whether or not I actually could accept (and execute) this challenge I decided that I was going to join them in the festivities after all come Tuesday I would be probably be bummed I missed in on all the fun and an opportunity to cross off one more thing off of my ever-growing to do list.  So here’s the inspiration photo I found on Pinterest:

And before I go, here’s my most favorite family photo ever:
