I remember the day when I couldn’t leave the house without my huge headphones and Awia walkman; nothing calmed a hectic RTD bus ride like the hard core sounds of the Dogg Pound Gangstas. Then a few years later came the Sony Discman along with a MC Hammer CD (Please Hammer Don’t Hurt’em). It was nice that I didn’t have to press rewind or worry about flipping the cassette tape over but any slight movement caused an undesired remix…little did I know that an amazing piece of technology in the form of the Creative Nomad 15GB Mp3 player was coming.
Although it was awesome being able to carry my entire music library everywhere this block of magnetic energy only lasted about an hour and at times got extremely hot. And then came Apple who blessed me with the 80GB iPod Classic that I not only can workout with but can also connect to my stereo and bump in my ride.
I’ve been wondering what’s next in the technology time line – iCloud, Amazon Cloud, or Google Music? Guess we will have to wait and see.

I loved my walkman as a kid. But then when the discman came out I thought it was the end all be all, except that the tracks skipped during a car ride. Now I’m dying to have an Amazon Fire. In my mind it’s the discman of its day.

Thanks for Comment. I haven’t been able to check out the Amazon Fire but I have talked to a few people who are very interested. Given that I work mostly with iPads I will have to take a break from them to check out this Amazon Fire you speak of!
